Chris is CounterPoint’s deal execution professional and is primarily responsible for structuring and executing all investments.
Prior to founding CounterPoint, Chris spent twelve years working on mergers and acquisitions, most recently as vice president of strategic operations for Abraxis BioScience, LLC, a NASDAQ-listed pharmaceutical company. There, he sourced, structured, negotiated and monitored the personal investment activity of the company’s founder.
Prior to his years at Abraxis, he was a vice president at Platinum Equity where he managed internal and external resources to conduct comprehensive diligence on over 55 acquisitions. He also structured and negotiated over 20 closed transactions, including the first forays of Platinum Equity into the public debt and equity markets.
Chris began his career in the corporate mergers and acquisitions group at Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker LLP.
He received a bachelor’s degree, with honors, from the University of Pennsylvania and a Juris Doctor degree from the Georgetown University Law Center.
Steve is CounterPoint’s capital markets expert and is primarily responsible for all debt-related activities.
Prior to founding CounterPoint, Steve spent 14 years as a commercial finance executive, most recently as managing director and vice president of corporate finance at Platinum Equity where he arranged in excess of $8 billion in committed financings for target acquisitions and ongoing working capital.
While at Platinum, Steve closed over 60 transactions, including asset-backed, cash flow, leasing, securitization, second lien, mezzanine, and secured and unsecured high-yield bond placements. He also managed all post-acquisition financing activity for Platinum Equity’s funds and portfolio companies, which utilized over $5 billion of committed facilities across over 30 platforms globally.
Steve served as vice president, senior commercial underwriter at Bank of America Business Capital and handled post-merger integration for the global corporate finance division of Deutsche Bank in London.
He received a bachelor’s degree from the University of California at Berkeley and a master of business administration degree, with honors, from the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University.
Eric is CounterPoint’s finance expert with primary responsibility for financial and operational diligence on all acquisition targets as well as overseeing post-acquisition transitioning of newly acquired portfolio companies.
Prior to founding CounterPoint, he spent over a decade working in financial services and private equity investments, most recently as a vice president at Platinum Equity in its lower middle-market group where he was responsible for screening potential transactions, leading financial and operational due diligence, and financing and structuring transactions.
While at Platinum Equity, Eric worked on more than 11 completed acquisitions and divestitures, totaling over $2 billion in revenue across a broad range of industries. He was also in Ernst & Young, LLP’s Transaction Advisory Support Group where he worked on financial diligence and deal structuring for more than 50 transactions in diverse array of industries.
Eric received a bachelor’s degree cum laude, with honors, from San Diego State University. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder and a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Los Angeles a California CPA.
